MMOSBG Rules
1. Moves are added to your reserves hourly. 1 move if you have no boxes on the board, 2 if you have
1 box on the board, 3 moves if you have 41 boxes, 4 moves if you have 81 boxes, etc. (1 extra for every 40 extra boxes
on the board.
2. Moves stop accumulating at 1.5 times your total (or 48 if your total is less than 32).
3. Rankings are calculated by total squares occupied.
4. Moves are made by clicking on white, unoccupied squares.
5. When a move is made the square placed can effect the squares directly up, down, left and right of the move (only if that square is occupied by someone else).
6. One of three things may happen to the four adjacent squares. The square may turn
back to whitespace, the square may be taken as your own in addition to the square placed down, or the
square may remain unchanged.
7. Your chances of capturing an adjacent square are proportional to the amount of territory you occupy
in the 5x5 grid that your move forms the center of. In other words, having a lot of squares around the square you click
increases your probability of gaining an adjacent square in addition to your move.
8. Conversely, the probability of gaining an adjacent square decreases with the number of other
squares that the opponent occupies in the 5x5 grid surrounding your move.
9. In general this means that it is wise to concentrate your boxes together to increase your
odds of a favorable outcome.
10. A random tax, turning squares back to whitespace, is taken from the board throughout the day.
11. Players level up by placing in the top ten in a game. 10 points for first. One point less for each
place down to 10th.
12. Color Levels are reached for every 10 points earned by placing in games. The first level is red. This
is the color that a player's name will appear in the rankings when at this level.
13. New games automatically start immediately following the end of a game with 24 moves.
